  • Global Warming: My Plan

Posted on September 26th, 2008 admin No comments

Let me give this a little preface.  There is a show on the science channel called Project Earth or something.  The ideas are radical approaches to solving “global warming”.  Radical is an understatement.  Some of these things remind me of those old timey films of people trying impractical, doomed to fail, flying machines.  One of which was launching tiny sun shields to deflect a percentage of sunlight away from earth.  With CURRENT technology it’d require launching a spacecraft every 20 minutes for 6 years to put enough of these tiny shields in place.  Rough math on that is about 157,680 launches.  That’s a space nuts wet dream, but it’s astronomically impractical.  PUN ALERT.

    Well here’s MY idea.

Everyday at 8am GMT (that’s 3am EST for us on the East coast of the US) everyone in the world that is able to, will face west, and run really, really hard for as long as possible for up to 5 minutes.  This should in turn create a slight increase in Earth’s rotation.  Over a period of 50 years we might even be able to make the day a few minutes shorter.  Less day = less sunlight on surface at any given time.  Less sunlight = less heating!!!!

    I AM A GENIUS!

WHERE IS MY NOBEL PRIZE BITCHES?

    Better start running now!
