Pit crew?

Wife and I just went to the local RaceTrac to get a coke (yes I know bad bad bad but hey I’ve only had two in the past week).  Anyhow DaveFM was out there, a local radio station.  We walked up and they presented me with a challenge: change two tires and fast.  Fearing I’d hurt my shoulder more I declined but when he showed me what I’d be doing… I took the pneumatic tire changing pistol and poised for readiness.

I had to beat 1m:16s

I got a fast start but started fumbling around getting the first tire back on and realized I should put ALL four nuts back on then tighten them.  The second tire was much faster as I did the nuts all at once.  I ended with 1m:13s.  Would have been less if not for the first tire.

As far as I know I still have the fastest time so that qualifies me for the Grand Prize!  2 tickets to Talledega which isn’t really my bag but the other prize is a 40″ Sony HDTV.  Now we’re talking!  So all I have to do is race the other 8 people at the Andretti Speed thingy up in Alpharetta or something.  If I have the fastest time, I get a new TV.  I’m game for that.  Should be fun no matter what.
