They fall away
As if to say
Forget it nowYou don’t exist
Leave my space
Rest your presence
The normal restraintRestrain, Release, be safe now, until next time
Then it starts all over again, restrain, restrainWould rock if there were some actual music to go along with this… *sigh*

Coke: Destroyer of Teeth
Posted on June 13th, 2008 No commentsIt’s not JUST Coca-Cola, but in the south here, anything that’s dark and fizzy is a coke, even if it’s Pepsi!
Why does it destroy teeth? It’s not the reason you might think. Diet soda is guilty as well. It’s the acids in the drink. You know all that stuff about cleaning chrome and cleaning up blood with coke? It’s real!
It’s so hard to accept that fact when you’re enjoying a cold soft drink that it can be that bad. I wish I were making it up but after my last dentist visit, well, lets say I won’t be helping Coca-Cola stock go up. Even with regular brushing and flossing, you’re not in the clear. The acid is IN the drink, it’s not a byproduct of bacteria. So if you drink soft drinks throughout the day, you’re basically etching the enamel off of your teeth. One of the chemicals in soft drinks is used to prepare teeth for a certain procedure, because it makes the surface porous.
If you are going to drink a coke, gulp it down quickly. It’s better to drink 10 in 10 minutes than to drink 2 slowly all day. It’s a painful and expensive lesson in what the dentist called an “epidemic” of tooth decay.
I will drink soft drinks but we’re talking seldom and special occasions. It goes into that big bag of things listed as treats.
What should you drink? Water. What kind? Tap water. Why? Flouridated. Bottled water isn’t. Though, bottled water is better than coke by about a million times. So much for the “but coke has water in it…” argument.
